Academic forum
Iraqi medical scientific societies are becoming central actors in continuing professional development (CPD), moving beyond traditional scientific meetings to shape standards, accreditation, and national policy for lifelong learning among physicians. They work in partnership with universities, ministries, and diaspora associations to deliver conferences, workshops, and research‑oriented activities that increasingly carry or seek formal CPD credit and align with emerging postgraduate education reforms.
Looking ahead, the strategic opportunity is to shift society‑led CPD from ad‑hoc, event‑based activities toward a coherent, competency‑based, and nationally accredited system, integrating defined learning outcomes, standardized crediting, digital delivery, and stronger links to licensure, promotion, and health system priorities.
Iraqi medical scientific societies are central actors in academic forum to deliver accredited competency‑based formal CPD activities. All are working together for accredited postgraduate education.
