These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of the website ksb-med.org (“the website”) and the CPD Evaluation Form mobile app (“the app”), both provided by AMETI – Academy of Medical Education and Training, part of the Qimam Foundation for Health & Education Services (“we”, “us”). By using the website or the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
1. About our services
The website provides information about our organisation, members, affiliated hospitals, partners, continuing professional development (CPD) events, announcements, academic forum and library resources. The app lets attendees of our CPD events submit feedback about those events.
2. Educational information only – not medical advice
Content on the website and in our materials is provided for general educational and professional development purposes. It is not a substitute for professional clinical judgement, and it is not medical advice for any individual patient. Health professionals remain responsible for their own clinical decisions and for following the guidelines and regulations that apply to their practice.
3. Using the website and app
You agree to use the website and the app lawfully and not to:
- submit false, misleading, offensive or unlawful content, or content that infringes anyone else’s rights;
- submit personal or health information about patients or other people;
- submit feedback for an event you did not attend, or submit duplicate or automated submissions;
- try to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with, or disrupt the website, the app or our servers;
- copy, scrape or harvest content or data from the website by automated means without our permission.
4. CPD events, certificates and records
Information about events (dates, venues, speakers, CPD credit) may change, and we may update or cancel events where necessary. Submitting an evaluation form through the app helps us improve our events and maintain CPD records. Unless an event’s conditions say otherwise, submitting feedback does not by itself guarantee CPD credit or a certificate, which are issued according to the requirements of each event and the relevant accrediting body.
5. Content you send us
When you send us a message, comment or feedback, you confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to send it. You allow us to use your feedback, in anonymised or aggregated form, to evaluate and improve our events, services and reports. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the content of the website, including text, logos, images, training materials and the app, belongs to us or our partners and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial and educational use. You may not reproduce, republish, sell or modify it for other purposes without our written permission. Library resources and materials from partners or third parties remain subject to their owners’ own terms.
7. Links to other websites
The website may contain links to partner organisations and other external websites. We provide these links for convenience and are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of those websites.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the website and app available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that they will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or up to date. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website or app at any time.
9. Limitation of liability
The website and the app are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website or the app, or from reliance on any content they contain. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
10. Privacy and cookies
Your use of the website and the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the website or the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of its competent courts.
